In order to achieve the above, we employ a comprehensive QUALITY ASSURANCE AND MAINTENANCE activities which include the following:
- Planned Survey
- Kick off meeting before the commencement of a project
- Liaison and creating a good relationship with the government agencies
- Ensuring that quality materials are used
- Maintain safety rules and regulations within the project route
- Weekly project meetings
- Carrying out Civil Acceptance Test (CAT) and Final Acceptance Test (FAT)
- Ensures that portions of snags established in the course of the project are cleared
- Preparation of Final Bills of Quantities and As-Built drawings for checks and signing off of the contract.
- Ensures that every inspection are done and problems identified cleared before Activation.
Ichiem’s founding objective is to design and provide a simple, innovative, globally certified fibre maintenance solution by assembling various maintenance teams throughout the many maintenance centres all over the Federation for close proximity to POF and close down on MTTR/SLA for fibre damage restoration time to zero per cent; through aggressive/effective preventive maintenance practices on cable route and prompt response to fiber cut restoration.
Fibre optics maintenance work for effective delivery is time-bound as SLA’s and MTTR given for the restorations of a fibre break must not exceed a maximum of three hours.
The equipment required in this maintenance includes the use of Fusion Splicing Machine, OTDR and other devices like LMPS, GPS and Fault Locator.
